01 gsxr 750 problems

Postby DDT009 on Wed Apr 21, 2010 12:38 pm

hi,

i bought a gsxr 750 a while back and haven't been able to get it to run right.
it boggs down when I go full throttle, and doesnt have any power. Already replaced the spark plugs, cleaned the airfilter, installed a dealer mode switch and checked the tps. It has a power commander on it as well which we unplugged to test to see if that solved the problem, but it didnt. If any one has any Ideas what to check next It would be much appreciated.

Well if the plugs and filter are good then it's either fuel or compression. Well you should make sure you are getting good spark from each plug as well.

sounds to me to be fuel psi problem maybe the regulator or pump could be as simple as fuel filter

Forgot to throw in there that we swapped out tanks with my good running 600 and had the same issues, so the pump and filter can be ruled out as culprits.

finally got around to comp testing, ranged from about 130 to 148 across cylinders, which isn't all that great but not enough to cause the issues we are experiencing. How would you guys recommend I test the fuel injectors? My roommate doesn't have a lot of money, so getting them flow tested isn't preferred.
