My motorcycle vacation....Dragon's Tail!!

So i'm sitting here in my motel room in San Antonio, TX....halfway to my mom's house in Florida. In a few days i'll be in Tapoco, NC riding Deal's Gap.
AKA The Dragon's Tail....I've been planning ths trip for 3 years and now it's all coming together...i'm beyond psyched!!
Check Deal's Gap or The Dragon's Tail on YouTube...it's mind blowing!! 318 curves in 11 miles!!
Plus every road in the area in very similar...stay tuned for many pics and vids!!

There was a rock slide about 2 months ago on one of the roads that leads into Hway129 in Tennesse. Deal's Gap is not affected by it in anyway...
Besides every road within a 400 miles of the gap is a twistie work of art....

Ride the dragon, to say you did, then go ride the roads around it. I've heard deal's gap is a nice stretch of road, but with way too many idiots (on bike and in cars) and cops.

I have yet to go out there, and honestly am not in a real hurry; I'm shooting for Europe.

had a blast riding it back in the early 90's, but from what i understand, the LEO's are a constant now. imagine seeing a dozen cops on the way up mount lemmon, its that bad.

so my friend, be careful, have fun, and i hope all the LEO's are on coffee break when you breeze through.

I'm in Fairhope AL right now at my mother's house (right on the Gulf)...not much oil spill damage here. They got lucky.
Tomorrow i head out to Charleston , SC to see my father and my sister. After that it's on to Atlanta...then the Dragon's Tail (Deal's Gap.) http://www.tailofthedragon.com/index.html
I'll be there on Friday...so the cops shouldn't be so bad (hopefully). I'm also gonna ride the Charahola Skyway and surrounding roads. It's gonna be fu@#in awesome!! It's been wat too long since i've been out that way.
The next day i'll be meeting up with some old riding buddies and hitting Suches GA which is every bit as gnarly as Deal's Gap with way less L.E.O.s...check out "Blood Mountain" and "Wolf Pen Gap" on youtube....super awesome!!!

Yeah i took my dog Cujo with me...he had a great time.
The car that hit me. I was driving down Monroe Dr. in Atlanta, coming back from a ride, pulling my bike on the trailer.
Some douche side swipes me. Cops come(40 mins later) site the other guy and i'm on my way.
I have had an accident since i left Atlanta and as soon as i go back boom...accident.
